AppCampus is delighted to share a new fast track to AppCampus grants - Mobile App Acceleration Camp = MAAC. Through MAAC you can get expert insights and assistance to help turn your new app idea into a big business!
Mobile App Acceleration Camps is an initiative designed to help talented teams launch a successful mobile app or mobile game through the AppCampus program. We give participants the technical, business and financial support to help them build a great app for the Windows Phone Store.
To qualify for a Mobile App Acceleration Camp event, your team must possess the following minimum set of skills:
• Design. To build a great app, you need to be able to carefully plan the user experience and every detail of the interface.
• Mobile Development. You need someone who knows how to develop for Windows Phone 8/Windows 8.
• Business and marketing. We want to help you to build a business, not only an application. That’s why the team needs someone who can design a business model and implement a marketing campaign.
Where are the MAAC events taking place?
We have a new series of MAAC events running from October 2013 to June 2014 in following countries; Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chile, China, Croatia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Isreal, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Lithuania, Malaysia, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Thailand, UK, Ukraine, USA and Vietnam.
How can I attend a MAAC event?
Email the Microsoft events team (email@example.com) and we’ll put you in touch with the local Mobile App Acceleration Camp crew. The local crew will review applications and will select those who are eligible to participate. Space is limited and even those who meet all criteria may not be selected. Selection is at the sole discretion of the Mobile App Acceleration Camp crew.
All selected teams will be invited to join the BizSpark program and obtain its benefits: free access to Microsoft tools, enrollment in the Microsoft Developer Network, credits to use the Azure platform and a free Dev Center account that allows teams to submit applications for publication in the Windows and Windows Phone stores.

About the MAAC event
The MAAC event is a two day camp with approximately 10 teams participating. Agenda consists of pitchig and mentoring sessions, AppCampus application submissions and 1:1 discussions. Teams attending need to be prepared to present their idea to mentors for feedback.
This event is brought to you the Microsoft Developer Platform Evangelism group and is free of charge. However, attendees are responsible for booking and paying for their own travel and accommodation. For more infomation pls email to firstname.lastname@example.org
